So how did they meet? Let’s rewind to 2007. Ambar was about 6 years old, and Marco was about 9. Ambar was a funny girl in the dance ministry, and Marco was the “cool kid” at church. Marco’s older sister was Ambar’s dance teacher, and she would have meetings at their house. No one knew that part of the reason little Ambar would get excited to go to dance class was to see Marco. Yes, she had a crush on the boy with the dark shaggy hair, very Justin Bieber.

There are a handful of early memories they share together. Such as when Marco was the only one who was able to teach Ambar how to tie her shoes or when Marco defended Ambar from little boys picking on her.

“Stop bothering her. We need to respect girls.” 11-year-old Marco said.

As life happened, they never saw each other again but always remembered that small version of each other.

2015: Marco attends Ambar’s quinceañera. He thinks, “Wow, she’s all grown up.”

2020: Marco asks Ambar out for lunch for the first time. They instantly become friends. It was one of those moments in life where you immediately click with a person.

2022: Marco and Ambar realize they can’t run away from each other since they were children; it has always been them. They decide there is no one else they would rather be with in this journey we call “life.”

2025: Well, you know what happens next.
